Follow the matches live

1What the live page is

It is a web page where you can follow the club's matches minute by minute from your phone, even when you are not at the ground. You see the score, the clock and who scores, as the person running the scoreboard enters it.

You do not need to sign up or install anything just to look at it: it opens like any web page. And if you want, you can add it to your home screen and get alerts when your team scores.

2What you see on screen

Every match being played has its own card, which looks like the scoreboard at the ground:

1. The pitch and the category, so you can tell which one is your team's when several are on at once.
2. How the match is going: En juego (in play), in green, with the clock running; Parado (stopped), in orange, before kick-off and during the breaks; and Final (full time) when it ends.
3. The score, with your club on the left and the opponent on the right.
4. The period and the clock, with a bar that fills up as the period goes on.
5. The plays: goals, cards and substitutions, each with its minute. Your club's are on the left and the opponent's on the right.
6. Compartir (share), to send the score to the team chat or to anyone you like.

The page refreshes by itself, you do not need to reload it. At the top you will see how many matches are in play and when it was last updated. And when a goal goes in, the card celebrates it.

3Installing it on your phone

You can add the live page to your home screen and use it like an app: with your club's crest as the icon, full screen and without the browser bar. It takes up almost nothing because there is no download from any store.

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open the live link in Chrome.
2. Tap the three dots button (⋮) at the top right.
3. Choose Add to Home screen (or Install app).
4. Confirm with Install. The icon now sits with your other apps.

The option you are looking for in the Chrome menu (the wording varies slightly between versions).

On iPhone and iPad

Safari and Chrome both work; only the menu location differs.

1. Open the live link in Safari or Chrome.
2. In Safari, tap Share: the square with the arrow pointing up, in the bottom bar. In Chrome, tap the three dots (⋯) at the top right.
3. Scroll down the list and choose Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add.

4Turning alerts on

With alerts on you get a notification on your phone when something happens in the match, even with the page closed.

1. Tap the bell at the top right. On a computer it says Notificaciones, and when there are no matches you also have the Activar avisos button (turn on alerts).
2. In the panel that opens, switch on Activar notificaciones (enable notifications).
3. Your phone will ask whether you allow notifications: choose Allow.

5Choosing what you get told about

Once it is on, the same panel lets you decide which teams and which moments you want to hear about. That way you do not get alerts about matches you do not care about.

Teams to follow

Tap the team or teams you want: they stay highlighted in dark. Most people pick only their child's team. If you would rather hear about the whole club, tap Todos los equipos (all teams).

Alert me about

• Inicio de partido (kick-off): when the match starts.
• Goles (goals): with the score and, if the club uses squads, the name of the scorer.
• Cambios (substitutions): who comes on and who goes off.
• Tarjetas (cards): yellow and red.
• Fin de partido (full time): with the final score.

Out of the box kick-off, goals and full time are selected, which is what almost everybody wants. Turn substitutions and cards on only if they interest you.

6Today's results and other days

Below the matches in play is Terminados hoy (finished today): the club's matches that have already ended today, with the score and who scored.

Each card shows both teams, the score and the scorers with their minute. If the club has the squad loaded, you will see the shirt number and name of whoever scored; for the opponent there is only the minute. Tap Ver las jugadas (see the plays) to see the cards and substitutions too.

Other days

Tap Resultados (results) in the bottom bar (on a computer it is at the top). It opens on the last day with matches:

• With the arrows you go to the previous or next day that had matches.
• Below them there is a strip of days to swipe through with your finger.
• The calendar button opens the whole month: only the days in colour can be picked.
• If several categories played that day, you can filter by your team's.

7The consent for name and photo

Your club may send you a different link, to say whether you allow your child's name and photo to be shown. It is a separate form, filled in once.

What it asks

You type the player's name, pick their team and say who you are: father, mother, legal guardian, or the player themselves if they are 14 or older. Then you answer two independent questions:

• The name: whether their name and shirt number appear on the scoreboard, on this page and in the alerts.
• The photo: whether their photograph appears on the screen at the ground.

You can say yes to one and no to the other: they are deliberately separate.

When you submit it you get an email copy of what you agreed to. Keep it: it is the written record of what you said and when.
